Q: How do Tele-psychology sessions work?
A: Once you have contacted me we will set up an appointment time and I will provide you with a link to a secure site. That link will place you in a ‘waiting room’ and I will connect with you to start the session.
Q: Is the site where we meet secure?
A: YES! I use a secure program called Doxy.me. Doxy.me uses encrypted point-to-point connections. Doxy.me is HIPAA-compliant and secure.
Q: Do I need to download software?
A: No, just click on the link I will provide you.
Q: Do you take insurance?
A: I do not take insurance. However, I will be happy to provide you a monthly detailed invoice that you can submit to your insurance provider. If you have out-of-network benefits you may be able to obtain partial reimbursement.
Q: How much do you charge for a session?
A: Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org . I would be happy to discuss my rates. I do have a fixed rate but from time to time, given the circumstances, I do offer reduced fees.
Q: How long our the sessions?
A: Sessions are 45 minutes long.
Q: How will I pay you?
A: Payments for services are processed using PayPal or Square. You do not have to have a PayPal or Square account to be able to submit your payments.
Q: I’m not very good at using the computer, can I still do my sessions online?
A: Absolutely! I have carefully chosen a program that is user-friendly. I will help you through the process. The most important thing you will need is a secure internet connection and a private place to go to for your sessions.
